Packaging in 2024

As a Contract packer / Co-packer, van der Waal is specialised in many areas. However, our expertise and machinery is geared towards the packaging of foodstuffs.
Under "product groups" you will find the products that we can fill in pouches.

We are deployed by food producers, trading companies or A-brands to pack products on a temporary or permanent basis. You can think of (Supermarket) promotions, a temporary (seasonal) peak, the start-up of a product or if "our own packaging department" is not yet ready. But more and more often a company chooses to work with us for strategic reasons.

Especially because we work cost-efficiently, have a large day/week capacity and have experience with many product groups.

Things like: how can the product be processed, what are the product weaknesses, which film / laminate is most suitable and how is the store presentation?
The latter is important. In connection with the choice of printed film or label(s), the bag must be able to stand, hang or resealability is desired. In short, how does the packaging help to distinguish and sell the product!

At specific customer requests, we think along with you about alternative forms of packaging or Van der Waal invests in production resources together with you.

What are our possibilities

In order to meet your needs, our customer, in the best way possible and thus relieve you of your worries, you will find below a summary of the various most common packaging options. This is a simple packaging that is presented horizontally.

This is a packaging that can stand on its own for a more attractive presentation.

This is a packaging that can stand on its own with a seal at all 4 corners, so that this packaging remains standing in an even nicer and better way. This packaging gives an exclusive look to your product.

This is a packaging that can stand on its own with an oval bottom and a straight upper seal. This packaging can also be provided with a zip seal so that the packaging is resealable and we can also die cut a Euroloch into it so that the packaging can also be hung up.

We can pack oval cups.
Cups are then filled and sealed so that no more air can enter from outside. Then a lid is put on top so that the consumer can reseal the cup again. We print a tht (minimum shelf life) and lot code on it and a banderole can be wrapped around the cup.
We can also provide this packaging with nitrogen for a longer shelf life.

For the hotel and catering industry, we can fill buckets with a topseal and a lid. They are available in either round or square shapes, or we can pack them in bulk boxes.

Dosing / weighing by means of a multihead weigher, linear weigher, volume dosing device and a screw dosing device (Worm).
A multihead weigher is a device that provides accurate weights and increases packing speed.
A linear weigher is a horizontal weigher with 1 weighing head.
A volume dosing device. This word actually says it all, it is about volume only applicable to rolling products.
Screw dosing is only intended for powdery products.

We can also mix products. Think of a Japanese mix, trail mix, muesli and so on.

We can supply all packaging with nitrogen for a longer shelf life.

We can process both blank and printed film.

All packaging can be provided with one or more labels.

We can apply different texts on the packaging, for example Minimum Shelf Life (BBD) and lot no. for traceability but also complete ingredient declarations and information about the nutritional value.

The secondary packaging can consist of an American folding box, display, cbl crates, etc.

Printing labels with variable data for the pouches, but also for the transport box. We can also print labels ourselves with 1 colour.
